Allah, hiçbir kavmi rehbersiz bırakmadığı gibi söz konusu rehberleri de kendi haline bırakmamıştır. Onlara “kitap” ve “sahifeler” adını verdiği vahiy manzumeleri ile aklen, ruhen ve fikren aydınlatmıştır. Buna rağmen genelde cemiyetler, muhatap oldukları mesajı bırakmış, kimi zaman rehberlerini kutsamış, hatta çeşitli şekillerde sapmışlardır. Bir kısmı, rehberlerine “Allah’ın oğlu” sıfatını yakıştırmıştır. Söz konusu sapmada Yahudiler de yer almıştır. Bu çalışmada, Kur’an-ı Kerim’de yalnızca bir kez adı geçen ve Yahudilerin “Allah’ın oğlu” diye nitelendirdikleri Hz. Üzeyir ile ilgili bazı yanlış algılar üzerinde durulmaktadır. Konu incelenirken ağırlıklı olarak İslam’ın temel kaynağı olan Kur’an ve onun tefsiri ile diğer İslâm kaynaklarından istifade edilmiştir. Bunun yanında Ahd-i Atik’in, Ezra, Hezekiel, Nehamya, Mezmurlar, I. ve II. Tarihler ile diğer bazı bölümleri ve bazı tarih kitaplarının verilerine dayanılmıştır. Burada Babil Sürgünü ve İsrailoğulları’nın başına gelen felaketlerin hangileri olduğunun üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca Üzeyir’in Allah’ın insanlara gönderdiği bir peygamber olup olmadığı ve ölümünden yüzyıl sonra diriltilen kişinin Üzeyir olup olmadığı irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca Allah’a oğul olarak isnat etme düşüncesinin bütün Yahudilere mi yoksa sadece belli bir dönemde Hz. Muhammed (sas) ile tartışmaya giren birkaç kişiye mi mahsus olduğu düşüncesi tahlil edilmiştir.
