EVALUATION OF MEDIA-CHILD RELATIONSHIP IN THE CONTEXT OF MEDIA LITERACY IN NEW COMMUNICATION ENVIRONMENT


Together with the developing technology, new media tools have a great place in daily life practices. Accurate and reliable use of new media tools that influence the user fromal most allage groups is important, the severity of the situation increases in the case of children. With theopportunities it provides, then ew media has positive and negative effects on the physical and psychological development of children. While new communication Technologies contribute to children becoming more democratic, creative and responsible individuals, they create some problems about the distinction between virtual and reality Medialiteracy, which is on the agenda to protect children who are vulnerable to media messages and to reduce the negative effects of media, is an important skill. In this study, the concept of new media has been emphasized and there lationship of children with these tools in the new media has been examined theoretically within the framework of media literacy.
