Bu çalışmanın amacı, Muğla İli Arı Yetiştiricileri Birliği (MAYBİR) bünyesindeki Özel Muğla Arıcılık Müzesine düzenlenen okul dışı gezinin fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının kavramsal bilgi düzeylerine etkilerini belirlemektir. Araştırma, nitel betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını, 14 fen bilgisi öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak açık uçlu sorular, etkinlikten önce ve sonra öğretmen adaylarına uygulanmıştır. Bu sorular; arıları tanıma, arıcılık faaliyetleri, arı ürünleri, arıcılığın ekonomik katkıları ve hangi konularda okul dışı etkinlikler yapılabileceğine ilişkindir. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilerek; öğretmen adaylarının cevaplarından elde edilen kodlar, kavramsal bilgi düzeylerine göre gruplandırılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının, okul dışı etkinlikten sonra arıların beslenmesi ve bakımı, arıcılığın önemi, arı ürünlerinin sağlığa ve ekonomiye katkıları, arıcılıkta kullanılan teknolojik aletler konularında kavramsal bilgi düzeyleri artmıştır.
The aim of this study is to determine the effects of the out-of-school trip organised to the Private Muğla Beekeeping Museum within the body of Muğla Province Beekeepers’ Association (MAYBİR) on the conceptual knowledge levels of pre-service science teachers. The research is a qualitative descriptive research. The participants of the study consisted of 14 pre-service science teachers. As a data collection tool, open-ended questions were applied to pre-service teachers before and after the activity. These questions were about recognising bees, beekeeping activities, bee products, economic contributions of beekeeping and the subjects on which out-of-school activities can be carried out. The data obtained from the study were analysed by content analysis method and the codes obtained from the answers of the pre-service teachers were grouped according to their conceptual knowledge levels. After the out-of-school activity, pre-service teachers' conceptual knowledge levels increased on the subjects of feeding and care of bees, the importance of beekeeping, the contribution of bee products to health and economy, and technological tools used in beekeeping.
