Bu çalışmanın amacı öğrencilerin özetleme özyeterlik algılarını belirlemeye yönelik bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Betimleyici yöntemle yürütülen çalışmanın verileri iki çalışma kümesi üzerinden toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi kümesinde 152, Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi kümesinde ise 235 katılımcı yer almıştır. Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi SPSS 24 paket programında, Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi ise AMOS 18 programında yapılmıştır. Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi sonucunda binişiklik özelliği gösteren ve .40’ın altındaki faktör yük değerine sahip maddeler ölçekten çıkarılmıştır. Ölçekte yer alan 22 maddenin 13 tanesinin iki boyut altında toplandığı görülmüştür. Elde edilen 4 maddenin birinci boyutu ve diğer 9 maddenin ikinci boyutu oluşturduğu görülmüştür. Böylece, ölçeğin iki boyutlu olduğuna karar verilmiştir. Elde edilen boyutlar Özetleme Amaçlı Okuma ve Özet Yazma biçiminde adlandırılmıştır. Birinci boyutun güvenirlik katsayısı .84 ve ikinci boyutun güvenirlik katsayısı .89 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi sonucu elde edilen boyutlar için Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen uyum indekslerinin iyi uyum sınırları içerisinde olduğu görülmüştür. Geliştirilen bu ölçeğin ortaokul öğrencilerinin özetleme özyeterliklerini ölçüp ölçmediği test edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin sınıf düzeylerine bağlı olarak yapılan ANOVA sonuçlarında sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinden yana anlamlı fark olduğu bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlar geliştirilen bu ölçeğin ortaokul öğrencilerinin özetleme özyeterliklerini ölçebileceğini göstermektedir.

The aim of this study is to develop a scale to determine students' summarizing self-efficacy perceptions. The data of the study conducted with the descriptive method were collected over two study sets. There were 152 participants in the Exploratory Factor Analysis group and 235 participants in the Confirmatory Factor Analysis group of the study. Exploratory Factor Analysis was performed in SPSS 24 package program, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed in AMOS 18 program. As a result of Exploratory Factor Analysis, items with overlapping feature and factor loading values below .40 were excluded from the scale. It was observed that 13 of the 22 items in the scale were grouped under two dimensions. It was seen that the 4 items obtained constituted the first dimension and the other 9 items constituted the second dimension. Thus, it was decided that the scale was two-dimensional. The dimensions obtained were named as Summarizing Reading and Summary Writing. The reliability coefficient of the first dimension was calculated as .84 and the reliability coefficient of the second dimension was calculated as .89. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed for the dimensions obtained as a result of Exploratory Factor Analysis. It was seen that the fit indices obtained as a result of the analysis were within the limits of good fit. It was tested whether this developed scale measures the summarizing self-efficacy of secondary school students. It was found that there was a significant difference in the ANOVA results based on the grade levels of the students compared to the eighth grade students. It was concluded that this scale, which was developed with these findings, can measure the summarizing self-efficacy of secondary school students.
