Dünyada özellikle 20. yüzyıl ve sonrasında sanayileşmenin gelişmesiyle birlikte kentlerdeki nüfus yoğunluğunun artması neticesinde, çevresel sorunlar önemli düzeyde kendini göstermeye başlamıştır. Dünya ülkelerinde görülen çevresel sorunların benzeri Türkiye’de de yaşanmakta olup, çevresel sorunların giderilmesine yönelik birtakım faaliyetler yürütülmektedir. Ancak ülke genelinde yürütülen faaliyetlerin yeterli düzeyde olduğunu söylemek güçtür. Çevre sorunlarının giderilmesine yönelik kalıcı çözümler günümüzde ne yazık ki istenilen düzeyde değildir. Çevre sorunlarının tamamen ortadan kaldırılmasının günümüz koşullarında neredeyse imkansız olduğu söylenebilir. Fakat çevresel sorunların en aza indirilmesi ve bu doğrultuda tedbirlerin alınmasına yönelik faaliyetler gerçekleştirilebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de görülen çevre sorunlarının genel olarak gündeme taşınmasıdır. Bu doğrultuda, Türkiye’nin en doğusunda, hem çevre illerden hem de yurt dışından göç alan sınır ilimiz olan Van ili örneklem olarak alınmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma türleri arasında yer alan yüz yüze görüşme ve gözlem yöntemi kullanılarak, Van ilinde görülen çevre sorunları dile getirilmiş ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
As a result of the increase in population density in cities, especially with the development of industrialization in the 20th century and beyond, environmental problems have started to show itself at a significant level. environmental problem in the world in countries like Turkey is experiencing is also being carried out certain activities for the elimination of environmental problems. However, it is difficult to say that the activities carried out throughout the country are sufficient. Unfortunately, permanent solutions for environmental problems are not at the desired level today. It can be said that the complete elimination of environmental problems is almost impossible in today's conditions. However, activities towards minimizing environmental problems and taking measures in this direction can be realized. The aim of this study is generally bring forwad as the agenda of environmental problems in Turkey. In this direction, Turkey's east, both from neighboring provinces due to immigration from abroad our city limits of Van province were taken as samples. In this research, environmental problems in Van province were expressed by using face to face interview and observation method which is one of the qualitative research types and suggestions were made.
