Bu çalışma, gerçek yaşam deneyimleri için lisans öğrencileri üzerinde hizmet ederek öğrenme yaklaşımına dayanan bir ders modelini sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Nitel yöntemlerin olguyu tanımlamak ve karakterize etmekte daha yararlı olabilmesi nedeni ile yeni tasarım önerilerinin karmaşıklığını yakalamak için bu çalışmada eylem araştırması yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir. Çalışma yedi lisans öğrencisi ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler görüşmeler ve dokümanlar aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizi için, tümevarımsal analiz tekniği tercih edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın önemi ve özgünlüğü, lisans öğrencilerinin özel ilgiye ihtiyaç duyan çocuklarla ilgilenme yeterliklerinin nasıl geliştirileceğini keşfetmesidir. Çalışmanın sonucunda; lisans öğrencilerinin özel gereksinimli çocukların eğitimine ilişkin gerçek yaşam deneyimleri yaşayabilecekleri bir ders modeli ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bulgular doğrultusunda çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
This study aims to present a course model based on the Service-Learning approach for undergraduate students through real-life experiences. The action research approach was adopted to capture the complexities of the proposal of new designs by virtue of that qualitative methods can be more useful for identifying and characterizing the phenomenon. The study was conducted with seven undergraduate students. Data were collected through interviews and documents. For the analysis of the data, the inductive analysis technique was preferred. The importance and originality of this study are that it explores how to develop the competence of undergraduate students in dealing with children who need special interests. As a result of the study; a course model has emerged in which undergraduate students can have real-life experiences regarding the education of children with special needs. Various suggestions were made in line with these findings.
