GUILHERMINA SUGGIA VE BEATRICE HARRISON’IN VİYOLONSEL LİTERATÜRÜNE KATKILARININ İNCELENMESİ

19. yüzyıl, viyolonselin gerek solo gerekse topluluk çalgısı olarak birçok eserde yer aldığı bir dönemdir. Solo viyolonsel eserlerinin giderek çoğaldığı bu yüzyılda viyolonsel gittikçe popüler bir hâl almıştır. Besteciler viyolonsel için birçok eser yazmış, bu eserler geniş konser salonlarında viyolonselistler tarafından piyano ve orkestra eşliğinde icra edilmiştir. Viyolonsel okulu olarak da bilinen Dresden Okulu, birçok viyolonselist yetiştirmiş, başarıları onları tüm dünyaca tanınır kılmıştır. Bu araştırma viyolonsel literatüründe yer almış Dresden Okulu mezunu ilk kadın viyolonselistlerden G. Suggia ve B. Harrison’un müzikal yaşamını incelenmek ve gelecek kuşak viyolonselistlerine kaynak olması amacı ile yapılmıştır. İki kadın viyolonselistin viyolonsel icrasına katkıları incelenmiş, tarihsel bakış açısıyla ele alınmıştır. 19. yüzyılın müzikal öğretilerini 20. yüzyıla aktarmayı başarmış bu iki kadın viyolonselistin tanınması ülkemiz viyolonsel eğitimi ve icrası için önemli bir miras niteliğindedir. Araştırmada Suggia’nın 24 adet bestecinin viyolonsel için yazmış olduğu 35 adet eseri, Harrison’un ise; 9 bestecinin 12 farklı eserinin kaydının alındığı tespit edilmiştir.

The 19th century is a century in which as a both solo and ensemble instrument cello is included in many works. In this century, solo cello works gradually increased and cello became increasingly popular. The composers wrote many works for the cello, which were performed by the cellists in large concert halls with piano and orchestra. The Dresden School, also known as the Cello School, has trained many cellists and their success has made them well known. This study was conducted to aim for the musical life of G. Suggia and B. Harrison, one of the first female violinists who graduated from the Dresden School in the cello literature. The musical life of two female cellists and their contributions to cello performance were examined and discussed from a historical perspective. The recognition of these two female cellists who have succeeded in transferring the musical teachings of the 19th century to the 20th century is an important for cello education and performance in Turkey. In this research was found that Suggia’s recorded which written by 24 composers’ 35 pieces for violoncello and Harrison’s recorded which written by 9 composers’ 12 violoncello works.
