REPRODUCTION OF HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE ALONG WITH FICTIONALITY (FORTY OF NIGTHINGALE AND RECEPTION AESTHETIC)

In this study, the second edition of the book Forty Songs of Nightingale written by İskender Pala in 2015 and published by Kapı Publication in İstanbul has been examined in terms of reception aesthetics. This book which thematizes the biography of the prophet Mohammed has been considered as a literary work and a novel as well. In the criticism of the work, how the reader expectation has been taken into consideration and given priority by the author has been interpreted in the light of the data obtained from linguistics, text linguistics and literature. The didactic (instructive) orientation of the work with field knowledge and reception criteria has been analyzed with regard to literary criticism. Throughout the criticism of the work, an explanatory and evaluative tendency has been pursued. In addition, how any kind of life experiences exclusive to human beings might be thematized with literature has been described.
