Abstract


Sudak Dialects on The Basis of Contemporary Literary Crimean Tatar Turkic
Due to its geographical location and the historical process it has gone through, both Kipchak and Oghuz dialects of Turkic have taken roots in the Crimea peninsula. This very fact has not only led to the use of a great variety of dialects but also to an influence on the contemporary literary Crimean Tatar. The aim of the present paper is to study the current situation of Sudak dialects on the basis of literary Crimean Tatar Turkic. In the paper, the development process of literary Crimean Tatar Turkic has been studied and then the borders of the dialects spoken in the peninsula of Crimea have been established. At the end the paper, written and oral sources which show the characteristics of Sudak Dialects, a region in the South-east of Crimea and was under the sovereignty of the Ottoman Empire for about three centuries, and belong to the post-1944 Exile were given as samples.
