NON-LANGUAGE BEHAVIOUR THAT EFFECTS LANGUAGE USE: HYPERCORRECTION


Hypercorrection (or hyperurbanism, overcorrection), expresses generalizations of one rule in this variant of the speakers that are not adequately mastered to elaborateness of standard dialect and misuses that occurs with its applications to many situations. These are actually mistakes that are made while avoiding making mistakes and numerous various aspects of these mistakes is found in most languages. In article the general framework of this language behaviour, its examples in different languages, its some phonetic changes caused in Turkey Turkish and specially examples that are seen in devoicing are emphasized.
