THE VOWEL CHANGES IN FOREIGN WORDS IN TURKEY TURKISH DIALECTS

The language spoken today within political boundaries of Republic of Turkey is called as Turkey Turkish, and the dialects spoken in provinces, districts and villages within these national boundaries with different phonetic and morphological features are called as Turkey Turkish Dialects. A language has two pillars: spoken language and written language. Spoken language differs from the written language especially in terms of pronunciation. Spoken language is mainly based on the dialects. Dialects are the codes of language that are used while speaking within a written language field and show a set of phonetic differences. The Turks have taken many words from the nations that they were neighbors with and engaged in relations for various reasons throughout the history. However, they pronounced these words with their own dialects and phonetics and interpreted them based on their own thoughts. This study focuses on vocal shifts that occur in foreign words.
