REGIONAL CLUSTERING BASED ON EMPLOYMENT FOR GROUPS OF ACTIVITY IN TRAKYA SUB-REGION

In this study, focused on analyzing the competitiveness of the activity groups in the provinces of Trakya sub-region. The data are obtained from the Social Security Found for insured workers in the activity groups. The number of insured workersis the most recent data in 2016.The statistical method is 3-star analysis to widely used for regional competitive power measurement. The findins indicated that it is a strong competitive business line in Trakya sub-region. Because there are 2 activity groups in Edirne, 7 activity groups in Kırklareli and 6 activity groups in Tekirdağ as three stars owners. According to the findings of Trakya Development Agency in 2010, there is a serious increase in the competitiveness of Trakya sub-region especially Edirne and Kırklareli.
