ORIENTALISTIC DEPARTMENT OF THE COLOGNE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' THE VIEWS OF TURKISH LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND TURKEY


The aim of this study is to evaluate the opinions of students who attend the Department of Orientalistic in Islamic World Languages and Cultures Program of the University of Cologne on Turkish Language, Literature and Turkey. Descriptive scanning model has been adopted in the study. The working group of the study consisted of 22 people who continued to study Islamic World Languages and Cultures Program at the Department of Orientalistic at the University of Cologne and wanted to contribute to the study. A 7-point opinion form created by researchers was used to collect the data. The data were evaluated by descriptive analysis. Among the results of the research, it is observed that the students who participated in the research are willing to learn Turkic language, they are away from Turkish literature and they know Turkey more politically. It has been determined that the perception for the Turks is more dominant in the positive direction.
