The central organization established in 1938 with the act 3530 with the name of the Physical Training General Directorate known as Physical Training Regional Office in the urban areas was revised in 1986 with the act 3289 and affiliated a new institution as Physical Training and Sports General Directorate without significant changes in its basic duties.
