Whatever the level of income and education, domestic violence, which is a common problem of many individuals living in different societies and cultures, has become one of the most important social problems of our country. It is clear that a sociological approach that explains and interprets domestic violence by taking a critical look at the dynamics of social life will contribute to the solution of the problem. Sociolgy students’, who are expected to acquire a scientific perspective on the identification and resolution of social problems as a result of their education, perceptions and thoughts on domestic violence are very important. In this research it was aimed to determine the perceptions, attitudes and thoughts of the young people, who continue the sociology education, towards domestic violence. The study group of the research using the case study method from the qualitative research designs was the senior sudents of the Sociology Department of Adıyaman University. A total of 20 students, 10 males and 10 females, participated in the survey, which utilized semi-structured interview forms as a data collection tool.
