INVESTIGATION OF VIEWS OF SYRIAN CHILDREN ON EDUCATIONAL STATUS WHO LIVING IN ADIYAMAN REFUGEE CAMP


The purpose of this study is to determine the views of Syrian children about their education in the camp and the expectations of this training process who refugee in our country and trying to survive in refugee camp in Adiyaman. The study was conducted with case study from qualitative research methods. For this purpose, 32 secondary school students studying in the camp were interviewed. Semi-structured interview form was developed to obtain research data and form was translated into Arabic for students do not speak Turkish. Arabic answers were translated into Turkish with the help of an translator. The data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the findings, it has been found out that the forced migration of students from Syria to Turkey negatively affects their education life, but at least they are happy that their training is not half. Another result has reached students are needed more books, notebooks, computers and tools such as school and teacher in order to have better education conditions in the camp. Beside this, it has been determined that students' schools are not half full thanks to the enrolling of the school and they can continue their education life in the future because of they have learned a second foreign language.
