Until today, numerous studies on medical texts have been carried out by both Turcologists and medical historians. Many studies have been carried out from the age of the Old Anatolian Turkish to the end of the 18th century which was defined as late period of the Ottoman Empire. Although these studies which are mostly focused on the studies were written in the age of Old Anatolian Turkish, there have not been so many studies which were about works in the Ottoman period. The reason behind this may be the weight of language because of increasing effect of Arabic and Persian languages in these studies. In this study, the terminology in Netîcetü’l-Fikriyye fį Tedbîri Velâdeti’l-Bikriyye which is the second significant study written about gynecological and pediatric diseases in history of medicine has been focused on. It has been seen that Turkish language has not been ignored, the explanatory power of Turkish language on terms has been established, in Hekimbaşı Gevrekzâde Hâfız Hasan Efendi’s study which consists of Arabic words and phrases in a considerable extent.
