On The Dialects of Kirghiz Turkish


A variety of language that is distinguished from other varieties in time by its use in different regions or countries with considerable differences in terms of phonology, morphology and vocabulary because of historical, social and cultural reasons is called dialect. Kirghiz Turkish has three dialects namely North, Southeast and Southwest (Ichkilik) dialects and these also include some local dialects. There are significant differences among Kirghiz dialects in terms of phoneme, morpheme, vocabulary and semantics.
