The Diaspora of The Uighur Turks in Kayseri

The Turks of the Eastern Turkistan had to migrate many times due to the pressure and massacre they were exposed to. Leaving their motherland, they settled mainly in the western Turkistan (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kirghizstan), Turkey and Saudi Arabia, where they felt close to the native people nationally and religiously. Therefore, the eastern Turkistan diasporas emerged in a number of regions and countries. One of these is the Uighur TUrks living in Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Mahallesi in Kayseri. This diaspora is in the effort of maintaing its identity and keeping its ties with the eastern Turkistan. They also struggle for being heard in Turkey and all over the World alike to make their case known.
