The Simple Individual Lexicon of Our Literature Which Written in Verse: Erzurum Lehçesi Lügati

The poetic words in our literature, from 13. Century until today has been created by taking into consideration the similar samples in Arabic and Persian literature. It is thought that from that time to today between 30 and 50 poetic dictionary have been written. Most of these dictionaries have been composed of two or three languages like Arabic-Turkish Persian-Turkish or Arabic-Persian-Turkish. From 19th Century, it is also possible to encounter poetic dictionaries belong to different languages like French-Turkish, Greek-Turkish and Armenian-Turkish. Mr. Abdi who is the the point in our study and the writer of Erzurum Dialect Dictionary, was an essential poet, bureaucrat and philosopher in his era. The poetic dictionary which we think it was compiled by focusing on Erzurum region and written by himself, has composed of 148 couplets, 6 sections and 365 vocabularies. As we mentioned, this work has 6 sections including eulogium, ode and mesnevi. The clasification metodology of the work does not resemble to the ttraditional poetic dictinaries and also the pattern features are different. The work is the first sample of self contained dictionaries which means it is not included any other Works. But it does not mean that it is the first sample of poetic dialect dictionary. The reason that makes it unique is that it does not take part in the other Works. There are also other poetic dictionaries like Aydın Dictionary which was written by Sermi Mehmet but it is not acceptted as self contained because it is bound to the other Works of him. The work also has an importance in terms of being the only source that it is from Turkish to Turkish by contrast with hte other traditional poetic dictionaries and also the only source that the content which means the vocabulary belong to the defined and specific region. You can also observe the changing features of the dialect during the 19th century. You can also find some forgotten vocabularies in it and it is the only source that you can find such kind of vocabularies.
