On the Words in the Lake Van Basın Dialects Originated from Old Turkic and Middle Turkic Sources
The domination of the Seljuk Turks in Van Lake Basin has let the permanent use of the present day Turkish and the formation of the rich oral culture until now without break. When the language products of the settlements in the basin are examined it is obserwed that many words in the Old Turkish and Middle Turkish periods are commenly used in the dialects of the regions. In addition, some words in Turkish of Turkey being exposed to some phonetic events also continue to be used with their former forms in the dialects of the region.
