Adverbs of quantity being a kind of adverbs display quantity of an adjective, an adverb or of an action/occurrence. They reinforce these words in terms of quantity. They provide responses for questions such as how much/many or to what extent. A different usage of beter is the focus of the present article. Beter means 'worse' or 'very bad' in Turkish. Such kind of usage of the word will be put forward with examples from Afyonkarahisar and surrounding provinces. Accordingly, the usage of beter as an adverb of quantity must be included in the Turkish Dictionary of TDK as a main entry. It must also be included in adverbs of quantity sections of Turkish grammars.
